  and let's not forget that heavens doors were closed in 1935,

  They had all this great knowledge, BUT didn't know Christ was ruling in heaven.

  my family mentioned that there is no reason to read older publications when new ones are available,.

  it got me thinking, as the 1914 generation is all but gone, what about the rutherford witnesses, how many are still around that were witnesses when rutherford was king, he died in 1942, that would make the youngest 64, as a baby, providing they were a witness, and at the time there was probaly only 300,000 - 500,000 witnesses max.. with no one around do jw's simply just disregard his beliefs ??

  ?, will the same happen with franz's beliefs in 30 or 40 years ?.

  Enemies of Jehovah's Witnesses attack our beliefs from all angles. One of the most popular tactics is to plant doubts in the minds of brothers and sisters about our 1914 doctrine.

  We believe Jesus Christ began his rule invisibly in the heavens in 1914,

  The problem with this belief is the first paragraph of the article ............

  Why is it that the so called GREAT LEADERS and GOVERNING BODY and FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE CLASS ........

  DID NOT KNOW that Jesus began his rule invisibly in the heavens in 1914, until the 1930's, and did not become permanent belief until after 1943 (see the truth shall set you free 1943, one of Freddie Franz's first books.)

  Yet during this time of 1914-1943, with the GREAT J.F. Rutherford at the helm, they continued to believe Christ's return was 1874 (see Prophecy book 1929), predicted the end of the world for 1925, and the Sept 1942 Watchtower as being months away, built Beth Sarim, etc. etc.

  My theory is that when Freddie Franz took over in 1943, it was time to clean up the time lines, doctrines, beliefs, and make stuff fit better, and he did a great job, he came along at the right time, and was quite a talker and writer, I'll give credit where credit is due.

  Answer me this, if there was more ANNOITED CLASS members back then, then today, shouldn't they of had a better understanding ?????

  No religion on the planet, whether it be Catholic or Muslim or any, believe that they will acquire more knowledge then their predecesors, but JW's seem to think the light will get brighter, whatever.

  this seems to be jw belief, and only because rutherford said so in a talk, are there any publications that actually say that heavens doors were closed in 1935 ???

  and any kind of references ???.

  with the annoited class (pre 1935) getting smaller and smaller, i think in about 50 years the watchtower will have 144,000 replacements, how will they rectify this goof ???.

  This seems to be JW belief, and only because Rutherford said so in a Talk, Are there any publications that actually say that heavens doors were closed in 1935 ??? And any kind of references ???

  With the annoited class (pre 1935) getting smaller and smaller, I think in about 50 years the Watchtower will have 144,000 Replacements, how will they rectify this goof ???

  So, if there were 8000 Memorial partakers alive in 1990, and in general they were about the same age as WWI vets (perhaps a tad younger), how many would we expect to still be sippin' & crunchin' in 2005?

  i find it funny and sad that the watchtower is pursuing internet sites to be shut down and to stop showing their articles, due to copyright laws.. i thought the goal of the watchtower was to preach the good news of the kingdom in all the inhabited earth and then the end will come.. apparentll not, with the recent lawsuit against the quotes site, i'm wondering if ebay is on their list, you can buy just about any publication from 1900-1950, and buy it fairly cheap i might add.

  hhhhhhhhhmmmmm, maybe they will sue them to for distributing old publications for people to read.. what's next ????????.

  Rutherford changed the date to 1914 in a 1930 Golden Age article.

  please specify ??????? and does anyone have a copy of this article,

  Most publications point to 1943 and "the truth shall set you free" book as the first mention of Christ's presence beginning in 1914.
